This affirmation page comes from our 6-Week Transform Your Parenting group program, and we also want to provide it to you here. Download the PDF from the link below, print it out, and put it somewhere you can read it every day, to remind yourself that you are enough, your child is enough, and you are not broken.
Transform Your Parenting Affirmation
You've heard that parenting isn't easy.
You've heard that kids don't come with an instruction manual.
You've heard well-meaning advice.
And you've heard a laundry list of things you can do differently to have well-mannered, resilient, and obedient kids.
But have you heard that you are enough?
Have you heard? Your kid's behavior is not a measurement of your worthiness as a parent or as a human being.
Have you heard? You are doing the best you can with the resources you have and you are deserving of compassion and grace.
You are enough.
You are worthy.
You are whole and complete.
And...Your child is enough.
Just as they are.
Let these words become your truth, your inner voice.
Neither you nor your child needs to be fixed, because you are not broken.
And knowing this deep down inside will keep you grounded when your child is storming.
And that grounded energy will allow you to become the safe adult your child needs to co-regulate.
You will be the port in their storm.
You will find the port in your own storm.
We can do this together.
